A narcotic, erotic black mass trapped inside a burning church. Black plum liqueur spills first, overripe and swollen across hot stone, almost fermented, wrong in the best way. Saffron and Baltic amber ash cut through the sweetness, glowing like embers lifting toward a ceiling that is already gone.
Then the rose appears. Not the rose you know. We hate simple rose scent. This one is bruised, carnal, thick with something you should not want this badly. It melts into myrrh and frankincense that stopped praying a long time ago. The incense is not clean, not angelic, not here to forgive anyone.
 
In Absentia Dei smells like narcotics dissolved into incense. Labdanum clings like tar on skin, animalic musks pulse underneath, and dark vanilla burns at the edges with the kind of sweetness that feels like a mistake you will make again. Cashmere smoke remains beneath everything, slow and permanent, like heat that never left the stone.
